WALKING
Semerwater is an ideal base for Walkers.
There is a network of footpaths in and around Raydale where Semerwater lies.
A circular footpath starts at the Lake Foreshore and takes you around the Lake towards the Wildlife Trust Nature reserve passing the ruins of Staling Busks 17th Century Church towards the small hamlet of Marsett. From Marsett you head back along the road and join the footpath back towards the Lake. Other foopaths take you to Staling Busk or onto the Old Roman Road or along the Country's Shortest River - the River Bain towards Bainbridge.
Please note that this area is a working environment where every field has a purpose.
Please keep to the footpaths and keep any dogs under control.
